Gibson raw power1/16/2024 What if Van Zant can't hook me up? Fralin does not know strat pups-Fender changes the recipee so much it is a hit and miss thing, and the only guy around here charges far too much. Sonically, with so much solid wood here and Gibson’s Burstbucker powertrains firing into a Marshall Origin 20, flat out on half power, we were expecting big tones. I don't have ANY cash right now, but I am going to need pups, dude. The Studio is a more stripped down version of the Les Paul. Up for sale, a 2009 Gibson Les Paul Studio Raw Power in near-mint, 100 original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original. Its in fantastic condition for a 14 year old guitar. Looks like raw crap to me: totally stripped down, cheap looking and not worthy the Gibson name.Compared to this Studios look like Customs. Up for grabs is a Gibson Les Paul Standard Raw Power from 2006. With the maple bodies you get totally different tones than you would get on a normal Gibson. I just checked and discovered this latest line : 'Raw Power' Gibson's product manager seems to have lost it. The neck fretboard and body are made of maple. The Raw Power series of guitars are all maple guitars. I must say, I am a little surprised someone who is obviously skilled in the art of tweaking and tone can not find anything worthwhile about a Strat? Gibson goes crazy with their limited run ideas. When I want to expand that sound and get a strat/tele sound I'm not going to spend more money than I have to just to have Gibson on the. For me personally I play Gibson/Epiphone guitars because I like their style and sound (335/dot, 330/casino, Les Paul etc). I say because it isn't so much YOU need a Strat for your own self, but as the pick-up man and the tone man, society is better served if you have one. But if you want a strat why not go out and buy a strat. The only one I have I would part with I wouldn't think you had any use for (paisley-sounds like crap). and I hate Strats but if you give me one I'll add it to the video.Īctually, if I had a spare spare I might: but I lost a lot in my storage deal. Evening folks, Has anyone here tried a raw power LP The appear to weight in somwhere in the Studio line up and has a solid maple body and a maple fretboard. I was shocked at how much the Raw Power Les Paul pushed to input into distortion. It's a good little amp and seems to like single coils the best. Yea the point was just to show the difference from one guitar to the next.
